Yoshiki announces a nu metal special guest for his upcoming Walt Disney concert hall shows

Japanese rocker Yoshiki‘s (X) upcoming classical-themed Los Angeles, CA gigs will include Korn frontman Jonathan Davis as a special guest, as per theprp. The Walt Disney Concert Hall will host those two events on July 16 and 17, respectively. “Scarlet Night” is the name of the opening concert, and “Violet Night” is the name of the second stop. Both stops will feature distinct life experiences. Yoshiki‘s long-time friend Davis will be performing live on both dates.

Yoshiki is a Japanese musician, filmmaker, record producer, songwriter, composer, and fashion designer. His most well-known roles are as the drummer, pianist, and primary songwriter for the visual kei rock groups X Japan and the Last Rockstars. Yoshiki‘s solo career includes multiple classical studio albums and collaborations with musicians such as George Martin, Bono, will.i.am, St. Vincent, the Chainsmokers, Skrillex, Ellie Goulding, Stan Lee, Roger Taylor and Brian May of Queen, Gene Simmons and Kiss, Nicole Scherzinger, Sarah Brightman, Jonas Brothers, Josh Groban, and Diana Ross.

He wrote and performed a classical song in 1999 to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Emperor Akihito’s enthronement at the request of the Japanese Imperial family. Yoshiki also composed the theme for the 69th Golden Globe Awards as well as for other anime and film soundtracks including “Attack on Titan” and “Saw IV.” In 2023, he made his directorial debut with the feature documentary film “Yoshiki: Under the Sky.”
