In 2010, Wage War was founded in Ocala, Florida, under the moniker Empires. The initial lineup of the band included Jordan Pierce on bass, David Rau on drums, Seth Blake on lead guitar, Briton Bond on unclean vocals, and Cody Quistad on rhythm guitar and clean vocals. Rau left the band to concentrate on his career as a teacher at West Port High School in the band’s hometown. Before rebranding as Wage War, the band briefly changed their name to War Within. The band hired Stephen J. Kluesener to replace Rau and Chris Gaylord to replace Pierce after changing their name to Wage War. Rau has been filling in for Kluesener on occasion since October 2019. The band signed with Fearless Records in 2015, and Andrew Wade and Jeremy McKinnon produced a single. The band’s debut album, “Blueprints”, was released after they signed with Fearless.
