Volbeat’s Michael Poulsen to have throat surgery in October
In a recent interview with Metalradio.gr, Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen said that he will undergo a “throat operation” in October. This will lead to a pause on the band’s touring.
In Poulsen’s words:
It takes time to heal and train the voice back up again. But Volbeat is going into the studio next year. I will use time next year also to write a new Volbeat album and record the Volbeat album. So ’25 we will go out and promote Volbeat, but ’24 I will be promoting Asinhell.
Poulsen had previously undergone surgery in January 2021, in order to remove a large polyp, and was then able to record the album “Servant Of The Mind”, which was released in December 2021.
