Furthermore, after the first announced dates sold out immediately, new concerts in Mexico City, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires have been added by popular demand. The 2027 North American dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
U2 recently celebrated the band’s 50th anniversary on Friday, September 25, with a special concert dedicated to the students and teachers of Mount Temple Comprehensive, their alma mater, and with a surprise performance on Grafton Street in Dublin.
With preparations for The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour already underway for 2028 as well, the band is eagerly looking forward to its major return to Ireland:
“We can’t reveal much yet about the next leg of The Greatest Show On Earth—we’re still working out the details. But one thing we can say is that we’ll wrap up the tour in Ireland. There’s no other place we’d rather be to celebrate,” said The Edge.
