Tuska 2023 – First artists announced: VV, Jinjer, Lorna Shore and many others

Author Arto Mäenpää - 31.8.2022

Tuska festival, taking place at Suvilahti, Helsinki during 30.6.–2.7. has announced first bands of the 2023 line up. The biggest name on the marquee is the wonderfully mystical VV (Ville Valo) of ex-HIM-fame. VV debut album ”Neon Noir” will be released in early 2023 and the first single of the record, ”Loveletting”, set the bar high, combining his trademark vulnerability with HIM-esque guitar charge and 80’s aesthetics.

Other confirmed acts for the 2023 edition are Ukrainian Jinjer whose intense performance at Tuska 2022 left everyone speechless, American deathcore greatness Lorna Shore, always on command Mokoma, UK metalcore squad While She Sleeps, twisted Finnish party metal crew Turmion Kätilöt, iconic buttress of Finnish metal scene Diablo, Denver based psychedelic and technical death metal wizards Blood Incantation and Swedish melodic death metal force Orbit Culture.

Tuska’s Unicef fundraiser to support Ukraine

Over the spring and summer, Tuska raised funds to support Ukraine via Unicef. A total of 10 792 euro was gathered to help the Ukranians in need. The festival wishes to thank everyone who participated in the fundraising. You can still make donations through Unicef (https://www.unicef.fi/tue-lapsia/lahjoita/lahjoita-ukrainan-lapsille/).
