Turmion Kätilöt release “Resodance” album ahead of landmark Helsinki arena show

Finnish industrial metal band Turmion Kätilöt have released their twelfth studio album, “Resodance”, today, October 23, via Nuclear Blast Records. The record is available to stream now, including on Spotify. The band will celebrate its release tomorrow with their COLOSSAL DISCO arena show at Helsinki Ice Hall.

Produced by Mikko Tegelman, the 12-track album is conceived as a connected musical journey rather than simply a collection of individual songs. Frontman MC Raaka Pee likens its cyclical structure to the ouroboros, the serpent swallowing its own tail. Each song represents an hour, with its own character and musical colours, while melodies and heavy industrial rhythms interact across the record.

“Resodance closes the circle while continuing an endless cycle, just like the ouroboros, the eternal serpent devouring its own tail,” MC Raaka Pee explains in the band’s announcement (translated from Finnish). “Each song represents an hour, and every note has its own colour and character.”

The album’s latest featured track is “Näe Minut”, which also has a new music video. Previously released songs include “Raivotarjonta”, “Lunastakaa” and “Amon-Ra”.

Tomorrow’s COLOSSAL DISCO show at Helsinki Ice Hall is expected to draw around 6,500 attendees. The organisers describe the near-sellout as a landmark for a Finnish-language metal band at the venue. Australian industrial rock act Skynd and Finnish electronic group Business City will provide support. Doors open at 18:00, with Business City at 18:40, Skynd at 19:35 and Turmion Kätilöt at 21:00.

The Helsinki show launches an extensive Finnish tour running through April 2027. Stops include Lahti, Jyväskylä, Joensuu, Seinäjoki, Oulu, Kouvola, Turku, Lohja, Kuopio, Vaasa, Tampere, Järvenpää, Valkeakoski, Ikaalinen, Varkaus, Laukaa, Tahko and Mikkeli.

The band will also tour mainland Europe from February 17 to 27, 2027, with dates in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Austria, Switzerland and France. The full list of confirmed shows and ticket details can be found on the official tour page.
