Today’s drama is offered by Beartooth and their alleged AI lyric video

Author Benedetta Baldin - 19.6.2026

Ahead of yesterday’s scheduled release of their new single “Bullshit,” Beartooth singer Caleb Shomo has addressed some immediate concerns, as per theprp. Shomo claims that against the band’s desires, the designer they engaged to make the lyric video for that song included artificial intelligence. Consequently, when the video was uploaded, it was flagged. The designer in question, according to Shomo, lied about not utilising AI beforehand. Shomo and his brother, on the other hand, intend to make their own new lyric video. The release date of Beartooth‘s latest album, “Pure Ecstasy,” is August 28. The platinum-certified melodic metalcore band has released two tracks so far, but Caleb’s coming out has dominated most of the conversation lately.

Hello all you lovely people
We posted a teaser this morning for a new song that was flagged for Al.

The artist we commissioned for this project assured us adamantly throughout the process that no Al was used to create this lyric video.

Unfortunately after a lot of red flags and conversations this morning, we now know for a fact that was not the case.

We have no interest in using Al or artists lying about using Al to try to translate the blood sweat and tears that were put into this album in any way shape or form.

My brother luke who worked tirelessly on the album art will again work tirelessly tonight to whip up a lyric video we’re all proud of and stand behind because he’s really badass.

The song will be posted as scheduled.
We love you all and we love human creativity.
Thank you for understanding
— Caleb Shomo / Beartooth
