In response to accusations, the organisers of the yearly “Slam Dunk” festivals in the UK and Europe have revealed that one of their directors has resigned, as reported by theprp. A woman came out this week alleging that Ben Ray, the festival’s founder, had sexually assaulted her many times, though she was not specifically named in this latest official statement. She posted such claims on Instagram and other social media sites yesterday, April 23, along with a screen grab of an alleged exchange between the two, as reported by Lambgoat.
In a statement addressing the situation, “Slam Dunk” stated that the unidentified director “strongly refuted” the accusations made against him and that he would be leaving the festival while the problem is resolved through “legal” procedures. Good Charlotte, Knocked Loose, Sublime, and numerous other acts are scheduled to perform at this year’s UK “Slam Dunk” concerts in late May. You can read here the statement.
