The Foreign Resort call for boycott of US products following Trump’s verbal attack on Zelensky

Author Stefanie Nysand - 7.3.2025

After US President Donald Trump’s verbal attack on Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House last week, the Danish post-punk band The Foreign Resort is calling for a boycott of US products:

“Join the rapidly growing movement: Boycott the USA. After the ambush on Zelensky Friday in the White House we have had enough. We’re now as much as possible buying European products and abstaining from buying anything made in Trump and Vance’s fascist USA. At our Klub Golem show at Kulturmaskinen Odense Saturday we were kindly informed that they wil no longer provide any US products in their catering to artists. We were very happy to hear this and have changed our hospitality rider to mention that we would like drinks and food not coming from the USA. Let’s hit Trump where it hurts the most: The economy.”

The Foreign Resort further add:

“NO TO USA. From here on there will be no Nike, no McDonald’s, no Heinz, no Coca-Cola and many more no’s. And the list is growing, both of products not to buy as well as people joining the movement. Denmark’s largest supermarket chain has already marked European products in their stores so we know what to buy and what not to buy.”

While promoting their Canadian tour dates for July 2025, it becomes clear that The Foreign Resort‘s anger is directed towards Donald Trump and US Vice President JD Vance, and not towards the people of the United States:

“We would like to invite all our friends from the USA to come up and meet us and join the fun! We’re right on the other side of the border.”
