The episode opens in the facility’s decaying “toilet room,” an abandoned area filled with dirt-caked commodes and discarded furniture. As Weidman introduced the spirit box—a device engineered to detect spiritual interference across radio frequencies—Olson noted his prior experience with the tool during personal investigations with his girlfriend.
