The Dillinger Escape Plan are marking the tenth anniversary of their final studio album, “Dissociation”, with an expanded reissue due on December 11, 2026. The 2016 record has been newly remastered, with previously unreleased work-in-progress recordings, demos and revised artwork forming part of the anniversary release.

The deluxe three-CD edition contains the remastered original album on the first disc, eight demos and works in progress on the second, and instrumental versions of the album tracks on the third. Early versions of “Limerent Death“, “Symptom Of Terminal Illness“, “Surrogate” and “Honeysuckle” are among the additional recordings. A separate double-vinyl edition pairs the remastered album with five demos or work-in-progress versions.

Originally released on October 14, 2016, “Dissociation” arrived as the band announced plans to end its original run following a farewell touring cycle. Those shows concluded in 2017. In more recent years, The Dillinger Escape Plan have returned to the stage for performances celebrating earlier material, while Dissociation remains their most recent studio album.

Pre-orders are available through the band’s official anniversary edition page. The deluxe CD listing also details the expanded track selection and formats.

The Dillinger Escape Plan is an American metalcore ensemble originating from Morris Plains, New Jersey, established in 1997. Throughout a significant portion of their existence, the band’s lineup featured lead vocalist Greg Puciato, guitarist Ben Weinman, bassist Liam Wilson, and either Chris Pennie or Billy Rymer on drums.

The band’s distinctive sonic identity is characterized by the employment of dissonance, irregular time signatures, polyrhythms, and unconventional drumming patterns. However, subsequent albums integrated a greater emphasis on melody and drew influences from a diverse array of musical genres.

The group experienced numerous lineup modifications, with Weinman serving as the sole remaining founding member. Original vocalist Dimitri Minakakis contributed to their inaugural album, “Calculating Infinity” (1999), which has been acclaimed by critics as a seminal release within the realms of hardcore punk and heavy metal music.

This album has attained cult status, having sold in excess of 100,000 copies, thereby establishing the band as the highest-selling artist on the Relapse label during that period.
