Steve Evetts, a producer, mixer, and engineer, received some very awful news, as per theprp. On Wednesday, May 3rd, his Belleville recording facility appears to have been completely destroyed by a big fire that started yesterday afternoon in Belleville, NJ. According to ABC 7, strong winds and chemicals discovered in a nearby warehouse contributed to the fire, which reached 11 alarms. As the fire progressed about a block, the local mayor proclaimed a state of emergency. Yesterday, May 3, Evetts, who is well-known for his work with numerous metal and hardcore bands, such as Hatebreed, Snapcase, Sepultura, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and many more, made this statement on social media.

Since 1992, Steve Evetts has been producing music, primarily metal records, but he has also worked with indie and emo artists. Evetts has also taught music creation. In partnership with Ben Weinman of The Dillinger Escape Plan, he instructed an online CreativeLive course. Additionally, Evetts gave a thorough mix walkthrough for a song by The Dillinger Escape Plan while serving as a guest lecturer on the Nail the Mix platform. In recent years, he’s been the producer, engineer, and mixing for DevilDriver‘s album “Dealing with Demons I”, The Wonder Years‘ “The Hum Goes On Forever”, and “Anything” by happier?.
In 2020 he also was the producer and engineer for New Found Glory‘s “Forever + Ever x Infinity”, produced Suicide Silence‘s “Become the Hunter”, and in 2019 he produced Incite‘s “Built to Destroy”. In 2016, he was the bass player in “Parachute” by Frank Iero and the Patience.
