Wacken 2026, day three: Extremes, endings, and Party Boy cameo

Day three of Wacken’s 35th anniversary edition went to extremes and back: goregrind chaos with Gutalax, a surprise Chris Pontius cameo during Vreid‘s set, and Zakk Wylde bringing pure guitar-hero mayhem with Black Label Society. Blood Fire Death assembled a genuine black metal supergroup to honour Bathory, before Emperor‘s original lineup and closing out the night in legendary fashion, Running Wild delivered an emotional farewell set right on the heels of Sepultura‘s final German performance.”
