Kansas City self-proclaimed rave-metal group The Browning have returned with a new single called “OBSOLETE. DELETE. REPEAT.” Since forming in 2005, the band has fused deathcore and metalcore with electronic elements like trance, dubstep, and hardstyle.
According to the band, the song targets a future where artificial intelligence increasingly overshadows human creativity. Frontman Jonny McBee framed the group’s sound simply, pointing to their blend of the metal show and the rave and asking why fans can’t have both.
The single follows the band’s 2024 album “OMNI” and continues their steady run of releases. Additionally, it lands alongside recent reworks of earlier material under their “EVOLVED” banner.
