Sum 41 announces farewell tour, including last-ever concert

Canadian pop-punk legends Sum 41 have just announced their final-ever headline tour across the world.

The Ontario-born group, made up of Deryck Whibley, Dave Baksh, Jason McCaslin, Tom Thacker and Frank Zummo, said they’ll be on the road for much of 2024 on “The Tour of the Setting Sum”, with their final show in Toronto on Tuesday, January 30, 2025.

Throughout the tour, they’ll be saying goodbye to fans worldwide as they perform in Asia, North America and Europe. The itinerary includes separate spring and autumn US legs, with The Interrupters supporting both.

The pop-punk icons revealed via social media in May 2023 that they were going their separate ways following the release of their upcoming album “Heaven :x: Hell”, which comes out on March 29.

“Once I heard the music, I was confident enough to say, ‘This is the record I’d like to go out on,’” vocalist Deryck Whibley said upon the album’s announcement. “We’ve made a double album of pop punk and metal, and it makes sense. It took a long time for us to pave this lane for ourselves, but we did, and it’s unique to us.”
