The pioneering deathcore band Suicide Silence has started writing their next album, following their 2023 release “Remember… You Must Die”. Guitarist Chris Garza recently confirmed the news during an interview with Nik Nocturnal.
Garza shared insights into his creative process, explaining that consistently exploring new music and bands has significantly influenced his songwriting and performance style. He highlighted his practice of attending local shows and discovering new deathcore and metalcore bands, citing Alpha Wolf as a recent discovery.
“When you’re consistently putting new things into your mind – whether it’s music, books, or learning – something happens to your brain that forces you to be open-minded, which creates a new form of creativity,” Garza explained.
The band is also confirmed to perform at the 2025 Milwaukee Metal Fest in May, marking their return to live performances. With vocalist Eddie Hermida also involved in the resurgence of All Shall Perish, the band seems to be entering an exciting new phase of their musical journey.
Garza noted an intriguing shift in his musical approach, stating, “I’m playing differently. It’s weird. I’m doing things I wouldn’t normally do.” This suggests fans can expect an innovative and potentially unexpected direction for their upcoming album.
