Steve Vai begins his Inviolate World Tour next week

Steve Vai has announced a return to Europe for planned appearances from March through May. The second leg of European dates on the “Inviolate” world tour will begin in Lisbon, Portugal, on March 24th. The itinerary will bring Vai through Spain, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, Latvia, and Estonia prior to wrapping on May 7th in Helsinki, Finland.

Vai will be accompanied by longtime collaborators Dave Weiner (guitar, keyboards), Philip Bynoe (bass) and Jeremy Colson (drums). On January 28th, Favored Nations / Mascot Label Group released his latest studio work titled “Inviolate”, which will be released in LP format on March 18th. During 2022 Vai announced 52 shows in the United States on a coast-to-coast tour starting in El Cajon (California) on September 28th and ending in Los Angeles on December 3rd.

Considered by many to be the greatest guitarist of all time, in his more than 40-year career Steve Vai has sold more than 15 million records, won three Grammy Awards and recorded with legends such as Frank Zappa, David Lee Roth, Whitesnake and many, many others. Vai has also taken part in several projects such as G3 (with lineups that have, from time to time, included Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Lukather) and the supergroup Generation Axe formed together with Zakk Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abasi. He is also the author of the music theory book Vaidology: Basic Music Theory for Guitar Players (Hal Leonard).
