Static-X cancel all upcoming shows

Author Benedetta Baldin - 19.5.2026

Due to “serious medical issues,” Static-X has cancelled the remaining dates of their 2026 tour, as per theprp. The platinum-certified industrial nu metal band released the following statement on May 18. The band minimised the possible seriousness of the problems in a follow-up post they provided in the comments section of their social media post below. In 2018, the traditional Static-X lineup—bassist/singer Tony Campos, guitarist Koichi Fukuda, and drummer Ken Jay—reunited, with Dope frontman Edsel Dope leading the group under the moniker “Xer0” in lieu of the late Wayne Static.

Due to serious medical issues, Static-X will be forced to cancel our remaining tour dates in 2026.
The situation is unavoidable and requires immediate attention.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience, and we promise to return to the stage, bigger, stronger and faster in 2027.

We appreciate your continued love and support and look forward to seeing you all again very soon!

Sincerely,
Static-X

Thank you for all the well wishes! Your energy and love is much appreciated
Don’t worry about us, we will be fine

Just a bunch of old men with parts that need fixing

Will be back stronger than ever soon

Founded in 1994, Static-X is an American industrial metal band based in Los Angeles, California. Although the lineup changed throughout time, Wayne Static, the band’s founder, singer, vocalist, and rhythm guitarist, remained a constant until his passing in 2014. Ken Jay, the original drummer and Static, founded the band. With their 1999 debut album “Wisconsin Death Trip”, which went platinum in the US, they became well-known. Their heavy industrial metal sound garnered attention within the nascent nu metal movement of the late 1990s. Over the following ten years, the group put out five more albums: “Machine” (2001), “Shadow Zone” (2003), “Start a War” (2005), “Cannibal” (2007), and “Cult of Static” (2009).
