Spiritus Mortis confirmed for Candelabrum Metal Festival in Mexico

Recognized as Finland’s first-ever doom metal band, Spiritus Mortis have just been confirmed to perform at Candelabrum Metal Festival next September. This will mark their very first appearance in Mexico and North America.

Spiritus Mortis paved the way for doom metal in Finland since their formation in 1987. Their signature sound combines a somber doom atmosphere with raw, heavy energy, creating an enigmatic style for both headbangers and fans of slow-paced metal. Currently promoting their new releases, such as the studio album “The Great Seal” (2022), the compilation “Spiritism 2008-2017” (2023), and the live album “The Great Live” (2025), Spiritus Mortis are coming to Candelabrum Metal Festival as a band with a rich history in Finnish metal. They are sure to deliver the darkest and most energetic melodies Finland has to offer.

Candelabrum Metal Festival will take place on the 12th and 13th of September 2026 in León, Mexico. Over its five-year history, the festival has become a hotspot for extreme metal in North America, with this year’s lineup including legendary bands like Old Man’s Child, Bloodbath, Destruction, and The Haunted.
