Swedish death metal band Soilwork played at the legendary Tavastia in Helsinki on 4th April, promoting their latest album “Övergivenheten” released in 2022, which was the last work with guitarist David Andersson, who passed away last year.

Chaoszine was there to do a report. We also had a chat with singer Björn Strid. The vocalist commented about the feedback on the new album, how does it feel to play some songs after David’s passing and his projects plans for this year.

“You never know what the crowd will gonna be like when we play the new songs live, but they’ve translated very well live and people really know the lyrics.”

“It’s still hard to realize that he’s (David) gone. Now some of the songs have taken on a whole new meaning.”

Björn Strid
