Swedish melodic death metal band Soilwork have released a new single, “Night Whispers & Shining Lights”, as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations. The track arrives during their European tour alongside Amon Amarth and Orbit Culture.
According to vocalist Björn “Speed” Strid, the song has been waiting in the band’s archives for several years. He said in a statement issued by Nuclear Blast:
“Night whispers & Shining Lights” is a hidden gem that’s been brewing in the vaults for a couple of years but celebrates our 30th anniversary and the embarkation of our tour with Amon Amarth and Orbit Culture in a grand way. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! See you on stage soon.
Formed in 1995 as Inferior Breed before adopting the Soilwork name in 1996, the Helsingborg group have marked their anniversary throughout 2026 by revisiting their catalogue, sharing rare studio footage and behind-the-scenes stories with fans.
The ongoing tour will stop at Helsinki Ice Hall in Finland on October 26, with further dates scheduled across Europe through November 15. The band previously discussed having new music written.
