Randy Blythe’s incredible gesture: frontman lets fan battling cancer shave his head at ‘Welcome To Rockville’

Author Benedetta Baldin - 15.5.2026

Randy Blythe, the singer of Lamb of God, has been sporting a freshly chopped head this month, and for good cause, as per theprp. At last weekend’s “Welcome To Rockville” festival in Daytona Beach, Florida, the singer, published author, and political activist collaborated with the Living The Dream Foundation to spend time with a special fan. In an act of support, Blythe asked Jessyca, a single mother suffering from stage 4 breast cancer, to shave his head backstage at the event. Later, Jessyca witnessed the band’s performance from the side of the stage at the festival that evening. Blythe called her out and led the audience in another cancer chant. received gifts and stage-used artefacts as well as VIP treatment from the group.

In the past, Blythe has donated his time and awareness to help those in need. He put his personal gold record up for sale in 2016 to raise money for cancer research. He put his GRAMMY medallion up for sale in 2018 to support research on myontonic muscular dystrophy. In a touching turn of events, the same medallion was given to a fundraising effort for Blythe’s sister-in-law’s fight against breast cancer. Additionally, Blythe previously honoured Wayne Ford, a fan of Lamb of God, with the band’s 2016 song “The Duke.” Ford tragically died after fighting leukaemia.
