Ferryman (the project of Ian Moody from 5FDP) hints at new music with some very special guests

Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Ivan Moody is putting together a new musical project called Ferryman, with musicians associated with Lamb of God and other acts involved.

The development offers a new outlet for Moody outside the band he has fronted for two decades. The initial report identifies Ferryman as a collaboration drawing on musicians from elsewhere in the heavy metal scene.

Ivan Moody expands his musical activities

Moody is best known as the lead vocalist of Five Finger Death Punch, whose catalogue includes “The Way Of The Fist”, “War Is The Answer” and “AfterLife”. His involvement with Ferryman points to another creative venture alongside his established work with the group.

The connection to Lamb of God is particularly notable given the two bands’ place in modern American metal. Five Finger Death Punch and Lamb of God have also been announced for a joint European and UK tour in early 2027.

Further Ferryman details still to be confirmed

A complete musician-by-musician lineup, release schedule and any plans for live appearances have not been independently verified for this report. More information about the project is expected to clarify what listeners can anticipate from Ferryman. In the meantime, Five Finger Death Punch remain active following the release of their tenth studio album “Legacy” in 2026.
