Rammstein’s upcoming studio album release delayed due to paper shortage

German industrial metal giants Rammstein have been working on their long-awaited new studio album and follow-up to the band’s 2019 eponymous studio album during the pandemic.

According to the latest reports, the band was set to release their new album in the summer of 2022, but it now seems that the final release date is still a little unclear.

Now, Sven Helbig, who has written orchestral arrangements for the band, among other things, tells the Sächsische website:

“The band itself doesn’t know [when the new album will be released] at the moment. The trivial reason: lack of paper. They need to be able to send out a large number of CDs and records, i.e. lots of booklets and covers, worldwide at one go. And that’s probably not feasible right now.”
