Priest kick off their US tour this week, tease potential release of a live album

Almost three weeks ago, the Swedish dark 80s style synth-pop band Priest, which partly consists of former band members of the Swedish rock heavyweights Ghost, completed a three-day tour through Sweden with Combichrist and aux animaux (Chaoszine was there for you, and you can read all about the kick-off show in Sweden’s capital Stockholm here and check out the corresponding photo gallery here). Tomorrow (Wednesday, 8 January 2025), Priest will embark on another US tour, alongside Vampires Everywhere! and Julien-K, starting at the legendary “Whisky A Go Go” in Los Angeles. Although Julien-K will not be part of the tour until the following day, Priest have announced that Julien-K frontman Ryan Shuck “will join us on stage for a show recorded for a potential live album” at “Whisky A Go Go”. Further details on the potential release of a live album by Priest have not yet been shared. Meanwhile, the crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for Priest‘s documentary “DECODED: A Priest Doc” has been extended by a month and has been expanded to include some new items such as the soundtrack to the documentary. The dates for the aforementioned joint US tour of Priest, Vampires Everywhere! and Julien-K, which takes place this month, can be seen below.
