Gothic metal royalty Paradise Lost are set to darken European stages this autumn as they unveil the first leg of their Ascension of Europe Tour 2025. The legendary UK outfit will hit the road in October and November, bringing their brooding sound to both longtime fans and fresh ears alike.
Joining them for the ride are Italian doomsters Messa, who will serve as direct support on all dates. For the UK leg, High Parasite will open the shows, while selected European dates will feature German gothic rockers Lacrimas Profundere.
The tour kicks off on October 9th in Manchester and rolls through cities including Wolverhampton, Glasgow, London, Paris, Munich, Prague, and Budapest, before wrapping up on November 6th in Antwerp. Fans can catch the band at venues such as KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton, Elysée Montmartre in Paris, and Rockhal in Luxembourg.
Formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire in 1988, Paradise Lost emerged from the underground to become genre pioneers with their iconic album “Gothic”, laying the blueprint for death/doom metal. By the time “Draconian Times” dropped in 1995, the band had already cemented their place in the metal mainstream.
The band’s latest release, “Obsidian” in 2020, blends their signature melancholy with some of their most varied songwriting to date. It’s an album that continues to showcase why the band remain one of the most respected and enduring names in heavy music.
