Pantera says the upcoming shows are for “the brothers, the legacy and for the fans”

US metal legend Pantera have announced their return to stage and the first four shows will be festival slots in South America. The band’s Instagram has now posted the below video saying the shows are “For the brothers. For the fans. For legacy.” The “brothers” of course being the late and great Abbott brothers Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul.

Pantera, whose lineup is currently vocalist Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown alongside Black Label Society guitarist Zakk Wylde and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante, has announced their first four reunion shows for 2022. The band will play on December 9th at the Estadio Nemesio Camacho El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia at Knotfest Colombia, Estadio Monumental in Santiago, Chile on December 11th at Knotfest Chile and at the Sambódromo do Anhembi in São Paolo, Brazil on December 18th at Knotfest Brazil.

Along with the Knotfest festival shows the band will play Hell & Heaven Metal Fest happening on December 2 at the Foro Pegaso in Otzacatipan, Mexico.
