In 2018, the metal world was deeply saddened when Oli Herbert, guitarist of All The Remains, passed away at the age of 44.

Herbert was initially reported to have died at his home, but was later found dead in a pond near his home in Connecticut, according to sources.

Now, in a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Herbert’s widow Beth tells us a little about her husband’s death. Beth claimed that the police had tried to force her to confess that she had murdered her husband. However, Beth remains convinced that she had nothing to do with the case and denied to the Daily Mail that she was involved in her husband’s death.

Beth’s story involves a mysterious woman called Penelope. According to Beth, she and Oli had reported the incident with Penelope to the police in July 2018.

The mystery woman reportedly appeared on their property and offered to help the couple find one of their missing dogs, which they were looking for at the time. Beth later claims Penelope pushed Oli over the edge.

“That did cross my mind when the police found my husband’s body – that it was Penelope. Did Penelope come back? Did he stumble down there on his own? We don’t know. All I know is I was upstairs in bed and when I came downstairs in the morning he wasn’t in the house”, Beth tells.
