Author Benedetta Baldin - 14.8.2026

The Violent Hour‘s most recent single is called “Screenager“, as per theprp. Carla Harvey, a former vocalist for Butcher Babies, leads that group. She has been the creative center of this project in the studio, along with her husband, Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante. The pair stated above are the credited songwriters of this most recent song, with the exception of Attila Vörös’s guest guitar. The song has really been in the band’s live repertoire for a while, even tho the studio version has just recently been released online. Additionally, this song is unique in that it is the first new song off the group’s upcoming first album.

American musician Carla Harvey is well recognised for having previously co-vocalized with Butcher Babies. She started her career in Hollywood as an entertainment reporter for the Playboy Channel and made appearances on a number of well-known network TV programs, including Rules of Engagement. Harvey left the entertainment industry to pursue a degree in Mortuary Science at Cypress College in California, where she worked as a funeral director and embalmer. Harvey has a strong love for writing. Hustler referred to her as a “comic book mastermind”. “Butcher Babies”, her first published comic book, was a huge hit at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. 2014 saw the publication of her first full-length book, “Death and Other Dances”, and 2015 saw the debut of a brand-new comic book series called “Soul Sucka”.

Harvey’s mother is Finnish-Italian, while her father is Irish-Ethiopian. Julia, her sister, was born with microcephaly and passed away at a young age. Harvey went at Southfield, Michigan’s Glenn Levey Middle School. She went to Harrison High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Mercy High School, an all-girl private Catholic school, as a teenager. Harvey began dating American thrash metal band Anthrax‘s drummer Charlie Benante in 2015.
