Like many other bands, Majesties have not only published a review of the year at the turn of the year, but they also explain their intention to slow things down for the time being. This news comes as a particular surprise since the rock’n’roll trio from Finland’s capital Helsinki had played a show as support act for the Finnish punk rockers Hybrid Children just two days before Christmas Eve:
“Thank you for 2023! Great stuff happened and a couple of firsts for Majesties. We toured around Finland performing at cities we’ve never been before. Kajaani, Hanko, Tampere and old favorites Turku and hometown of Helsinki. Met new people, organizers, bands, hobos, fans new and old. Thank you so much for supporting Majesties! You’re the reason we do this! We put out a new music video for our single ‘Tear’. Already over 600 views. Thank you for watching and listening! Making videos is lengthy and consuming and it’s awesome to see and hear that you guys are digging it! Makes it worth the effort! We’re opening 2024 on a slow note by putting Majesties on a little hiatus. This means that we won’t do any new shows or releases for the time being. We’ve been working pretty relentlessly doing what we love and it’s time to take a little breather. No infighting or any of that stuff, just a need to bury our heads in the sand and see what we can find. We’ve got other projects and surely, we’ll meet at shows, venues, bars, under the bridge you name it! Cheers until then, we love you all! Jaakko, Pietari & Kalle” – Majesties
