Nick Oliveri rejoins Queens of the Stone Age just for one show – video footage available

On April 24th, Queens of the Stone Age planned an unexpected live reunion, as per theprp. Vocalist/bassist Nick Oliveri returned to the band’s stage during a performance at the Joshua Tree Retreat center in Joshua Tree, California, bringing back memories of their more boisterous early years. Oliveri appeared during the third act of the performance, making a guest appearance on the song “Auto Pilot” from the album “Rated R.” Oliveri’s increasingly unpredictable behaviour led to his dismissal from Queens of the Stone Age in 2004. Although the original breakup was painful, he and frontman Josh Homme would later get back together. That reunion was the first live performance of this song since 2014, when Oliveri was last asked to join the band on stage.
