Nasty, a metalcore and beatdown band with origins in La Calamina, Belgium, formed in November 2004 from the remnants of the beatdown group Van Damme. Their initial MCD, ‘The Beginning,’ rapidly garnered recognition within the Belgian and German hardcore communities due to their intense live performances and aggressive sound, which blended metalcore with a groovy death metal style reminiscent of bands like Crawlspace. Nasty is also known for their provocative and highly political lyrics. Their debut full-length album, ‘Declaring War,’ made a significant impacton European hardcore scenes with its extreme brutality.
