Author Benedetta Baldin - 18.9.2026

Indigenous black metal project Blackbraid has officially stepped in for Portuguese gothic metal veterans Moonspell on Cradle of Filth‘s upcoming North American autumn tour, following Moonspell‘s forced departure due to visa complications, as per theprp. Dubbed the ‘Majestic In Death II’ tour, the trek will see Cradle of Filth celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal sophomore album, “Dusk… And Her Embrace”, by expanding their setlist with additional tracks from the record. The tour package is rounded out by opening acts Worm and Black Satellite.

Greetings Filthlings! We are sad to announce that due to visa issues, @moonspellofficial have had to pull out of our upcoming Majestic In Death II tour (statement from Moonspell below), but we are happy to welcome @blackbraid_kvlt to the lineup.

Statement from Moonspell:
With broken hearts, we must announce that Moonspell will have to sit out this tour, as our visas cannot be processed in time.

We know many of you were looking forward to seeing us, and we share your disappointment. The band and our agent are already working hard to bring us back to North America in 2027.

Please go and support this incredible tour! The mighty Blackbraid are stepping in, alongside with the amazing Worm and the fantastic Black Satellite remaining on the bill alongside our brothers in Cradle of Filth, whom we salute!

We wish them all an unforgettable run!

Thank you for your respect, support and understanding. We hope to see you all again soon.

Stay under the spell.
