Michael Blackwell to release new single “Forget About Me”

London-based indie rock artist Michael Blackwell has announced an upcoming new single “Forget About Me“, set to be released on June 7. Pre-save it here.

Michael Blackwell is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from County Durham, UK. He has spent the last few years working with artists such as Louis Tomlinson, Amber Run, and Lewis Capaldi and now has embarked on his own solo journey. Drawing from a range of influences Blackwell’s sound combines classic singer-songwriter, 90’s grunge, 00’s indie and modern alt-pop.

Learning guitar at a young age, Michael was inspired by his father’s record collection, listening to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Cream, The Police and The Beatles. As he grew, he became obsessed with a lot of bands and artists from the 90s such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Soundgarden, Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots cementing his love for guitar and classic songwriting.
