Metallica share official “Lux Æterna” live video from their Sphere residency

Metallica have shared another professionally filmed performance from their Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. Their latest official live video captures “Lux Æterna” at the October 8, 2026 show. The track first appeared as the lead single from the band’s 2023 album “72 Seasons”.

The song was part of Metallica’s second weekend at the immersive venue. The band’s official concert archive confirms that “Lux Æterna” appeared in the October 8 setlist and credits creative studio Treatment with the visuals accompanying the performance.

The Las Vegas residency continues with additional dates extending into March 2027. Metallica have also been releasing official footage of other songs from the run, giving fans another perspective on the production beyond fan-shot clips. Watch the newly released “Lux Æterna” performance below.
