Metallica’s 12th studio album, “72 Seasons”, will be out on April 14 on the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Now with less than three months before the album comes out, the San Francisco-based metallers have announced the release of a limited casette edition of “72 Seasons”

The material, a limited transparent yellow cassette, will include an 8-panel j-card with lyrics. You can pre-order it here.

Metallica’s new masterpiece was produced by Greg Fidelman alongside James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. The 12-track album is the band’s first full-length collection of new material since 2016’s “Hardwired…To Self-Destruct”.

Looking for a reason to dust off that vintage Walkman,” the band wrote on social media as they shared a picture of the transparent yellow tape for “72 Seasons”.

The four-piece heavy group will premiere their new opus with a worldwide listening party in cinemas due to take place on April 13, one day before the record’s release.
