Metalcore band Erra release new single “Echo Sonata”

Progressive metalcore band Erra have dropped their second new single of July, “Echo Sonata”, via UNFD, following “Gore of Being”, which was released on July 9th. You can listen to the track below and on streaming platforms.

The song is already sparking excitement among fans, as it brings back some of the melodic textures and emotional energy reminiscent of the band’s “Drift” era. Listeners have pointed out the tapping leads, open choruses, and an overall warmer vibe compared to the previous single.

Guitarist and vocalist Jesse Cash explained that “Echo Sonata” wasn’t intentionally written to sound like the “Drift” album, but the similarities became clear once friends heard the track. He described it as a solid reflection of the melody and emotion they’re aiming for on the upcoming record.

The band is also gearing up for a busy summer, joining Architects on tour across North America starting August 8th in Anaheim, CA. The tour will hit major cities including San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, and New York.
