Mark Morton solves the mystery behind the use of the old logo by Lamb of God for the new tour

Author Benedetta Baldin - 6.5.2026

With the release of their most recent album, “Into Oblivion,” in March, Lamb of God decided to “retire” their previous papyrus-styled font logo, as per theprp. This choice received a lot of media attention. Some fans anticipated that the previous logo would be retired going forward due to Blythe’s self-deprecating remarks. However, it reappeared on an advertisement for Lamb of God‘s early 2027 European/UK tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Bleed From Within, which was announced yesterday, May 5. Fans began speculating on social media about if the admat’s use of the logo was a possible error. Mark Duane Morton, the guitarist for Lamb of God, responded to this on Instagram.

…yall funny as hell man.
the most recent @lambofgod logo is literally the SEVENTH logo we’ve used…
and all have remained in rotation for different things at different times…
but ohhhh the despair
