Madred makes a strong comeback with a new music video

Author Päivi Närvänen - 20.8.2024

Hailing from Lappeenranta Finland, distinctive thrash ‘n’ roll band Madred releases a new music video from the “Breaking Point” -EP, released earlier this year and is now available to listen to. Video made for the song “Blood Will Flow” turned from the original idea during song’s writing process to reflect the cycle of anger due current world events. Music video was shot by Sauli Purhonen in the legendary Nuijamies venue in Lappeenranta. “Breaking Point” -EP was recorded/mixed by Miitri Aaltonen at Petrax & Astia Studios and mastered by Mika Jussila at Finnvox Studio.

Four-piece act Madred has been playing together since 2009. Madred has made a comeback after a break and crew changes have not been avoided either. In addition to the original string players, a new member has joined behind the drum kit. With a new drummer, Madred´s return will also be seen on concert stages this year.

Bassist Aapo dictates background of the video:

“The filming of the new music video in Nuijamies venue was already planned for the previous album’s single. Coincidentally, video was mplemented this year for song “Blood Will Flow” from the new EP, and you can watch the end result with a smile on your face!”

Vocalist-guitarist Oki continues about current situation:

“After more difficult times, there is a strong vision to continue the Madred story and we have our Marshalls tubes heated waiting for to get on the concert stages!”
