Heavy metal legends Judas Priest are to publish a comprehensive book on the band’s long career via Rufus Publications. “50 Heavy Metal Years” is a 648-page exploration of the band’s history, including a wealth of never-before-published photographic material.
The current members of the band have all contributed to the book. Each member of the band has spoken individually about what Judas Priest means to them.
The book has been put together by David Silver, Ross Halfin and Jayne Andrews. There are photographs by Ross Halfin, Neil Zlozower, Mark Weiss, Fin Costello, Oliver Halfin and many others.
Glenn Tipton tells us the following about the book:
“We spearheaded the visual image of metal, breathing new life into it, and it has been captured forever in the pages of this book.”
The book will be available for pre-order here on 29 October.
Rob Halford revealed a while ago that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, but that the cancer is currently in remission.
Guitarist Richie Faulkner, meanwhile, suffered a ruptured aorta in the middle of a concert, but is currently recovering.
