Joan Jett announce some of her upcoming shows have been canceled due to health issues

In order to give herself enough time to recuperate after a recent medical surgery, rock icon Joan Jett has been forced to postpone a few September performances, as per Blabbermouth. This is the statement from her social media channels.

Following a recent injury, Joan Jett has undergone orthopedic surgery on a fractured vertebrae and will begin the necessary healing process. In close consultation with her doctors, Joan will not be able to perform at her forthcoming September scheduled shows in Costa Mesa, CA on September 5th and in Louisville, KY on September 24th. While Joan hates to disappoint fans, she will be taking this time to focus on physical therapy and healing. She’s looking forward to delivering tremendous concerts for many years to come.

Growing up in an era when rock ‘n’ roll was off-limits to women and girls, Joan Jett quickly blew the doors off the boys’ club when she was a teenager. Eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the hits “Bad Reputation,” “I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll,” “I Hate Myself For Loving You,” and “Crimson and Clover,” have been released by Jett since she formed her band The Blackhearts in 1979, with whom she has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
