Imminence unveil haunting new music video for “Crestfallen”
Author Benedetta Baldin - 30.10.2026
Swedish metalcore visionaries Imminence continue to blur the lines between music and cinema with the release of their striking new music video for “Crestfallen”, the latest chapter in the sprawling mythological saga surrounding their sixth studio album, “Axis Mundi”, out now via Sumerian Records. Haunting and visually arresting, the new video draws audiences deeper into the band’s dark, otherworldly universe, where fate, mortality and the search for meaning collide.
One of the album’s most atmospheric and emotionally charged moments, “Crestfallen” finds Imminence balancing haunting beauty with crushing intensity. Vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg’s soaring clean vocals intertwine with hypnotic electronic textures and sweeping orchestration, capturing the tension between darkness and light that runs throughout Axis Mundi. The track continues to gain momentum at U.S. rock radio, currently sitting at #27 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and #25 on Mediabase Active Rock, further cementing the band’s growing presence beyond the heavy music world.
The new visual follows “The Sword That Never Bends”, “False Light”, and “If Not Now, When”, each revealing another chapter of an interconnected narrative. At its center is an immortal knight cursed to wander in search of his own death, pursued by a sinister counterpart known as the Shadow as he journeys toward the mythical “Axis Mundi” – the bridge between the worlds of life and death. These chapters culminate in the accompanying “Axis Mundi” film, an ambitious cinematic production featuring many of the tracks. Created in collaboration with Sumerian Pictures and directed by Pavel Trebukhin, the film recently received exclusive theatrical screenings across the U.S., UK, Europe and Australia, bringing the band’s mythology to life on the big screen.
With “Axis Mundi”, Imminence have created a world that extends far beyond the confines of a traditional album. From the opening notes to the final act of its companion film, the project represents a new creative chapter for the band – one that audiences can now experience in its entirety.
Following the release of the album, Imminence will embark on their biggest-ever European headline tour in early 2027, with support from August Burns Red and House of Protection. Check out the tickets informations and 2027 tour dates here.
