Imminence present “The Black” Live in Concert

Author Benedetta Baldin - 15.8.2024

With the worldwide success of their latest album “The Black”, Imminence prove that they are one of the fastest-growing and most in-demand acts in the modern metal scene. The majority of sold-out dates on their recent first US headline tour also speak volumes in this regard. Added to this are appearances at some of the summer’s most prestigious festivals and support slots for Bring Me The Horizon.

But none of this is a reason for the Swedes to shift down a gear, on the contrary: following the re-release of the single “Death by a Thousand Cuts”, which features none other than Lucas Woodland (Holding Absence), Imminence are causing a stir with a new live version of the title track “The Black”.

Accompanied by a string quartet and a grand piano, they present a live version that does justice to the depth and complexity of the music and the arrangements. Unlike many other acts that incorporate orchestral elements into their live performances, these elements are inherent in Imminence’s compositions.

Recorded in Ystad’s historic theater, this live version reveals a new facet of the band that illustrates their status as one of the most unique and innovative acts performing today.

The previous live recordings were received with enormous acclaim and therefore went viral. After growing the band’s online fanbase by hundreds of thousands of new fans, Imminence have answered their call for more live performances, proving that their music is best experienced live.

In October, their The Black EU tour will take the band to Germany, Austria and Switzerland with support from Aviana and Allt. Some shows are already sold out or on their way to being sold out, the remaining tickets are available here.
