Vulvodynia, a brutal death metal band from South Africa, has found a new vocalist and will soon reveal who they are, as per theprp. This past April, following yet another acrimonious breakup with a frontman, the group held open tryouts to fill that position. Additionally, Vulvodynia has new material planned. During this tour, an unreleased single is scheduled to make its live debut. Part of the journey will commemorate the tenth anniversary of their sophomore album, “Psychosadistic Design.”

The South African deathcore group Vulvodynia was founded in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, in 2014. The current lineup of the band is drummer Thomas Hughes, bassist Nate Gilbert, and guitarists Lwandile Prusent, Luke Haarhoff, and Kris Xenopoulos. “Entabeni”, the band’s most recent studio album, was released on July 5, 2024, by Unique Leader Records. Additionally, three EPs and three split EPs have been issued by them. Unique Leader Records currently has a contract with them.
Luke Haarhoff, 16, and Duncan Bentley, 19, founded Vulvodynia in the beginning of 2014. In May 2014, the band released their first EP, “Lord of Plagues”. Byron Dunwoody, who produced the EP, would soon become the band’s second guitarist. The band signed with the Australian label Vicious Instinct Records in August 2014, and in October of that same year, they released their debut album, “Cognisant Castigation”. “Slashing Through the Snow”, the band’s split EP with Cunt Cuntly, Before the Harvest, Cerebus, Bationmaster, and The Cake Is a Lie, was released in December 2014. The band assembled a full lineup to start travelling in 2015.
