This October, AMC Theatres is partnering with horror metal heavyweights Ice Nine Kills and genre platform Bloody Disgusting for “Welcome To Horrorwood,” a month-long movie series hitting roughly 300 U.S. locations, as per Blabbermouth. Drawing inspiration from the band’s cinematic albums “The Silver Scream” and “The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood”, the AMC “Thrills & Chills” event brings five iconic horror films back to the big screen: “Hostel”, “Friday The 13th”, “American Psycho”, “Pet Sematary”, and “The Crow”.
Every screening includes exclusive content, starting with a custom intro from frontman Spencer Charnas and concluding with the band’s corresponding movie-inspired music video. Showings will take place every Tuesday and Friday at 8:00 p.m. local time throughout the month, culminating in special Halloween weekend screenings of “The Crow” on October 30 and 31. All tickets are being offered at AMC Fan Faves discounted rates.
It’s a bloody honor to present this selection of modern horror classics with the mighty AMC Theatres and our friends at Bloody Disgusting. Metal music and marquee movie mayhem. What more could we ask for this October? – Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills
Horror has long been a favorite among moviegoers, especially during the Halloween season, and were always looking for new ways to give fans more opportunities to enjoy these films on the big screen at AMC. These are movies people know and love, and its exciting to bring them back to theatres in a unique way. – Ryan Wood, AMC Senior vice president and head film buyer
