How to reinvent and improve without compromises – review of Butcher Babies’ “Nightbloom”

As I’ve been following Butcher Babies since their debut album “Goliath” (2013) it’s been a pleasure to witness their journey from such a small band from Las Vegas to conquer bigger stages in 2026. Their evolution as a band and musicians have been remarkable to see. So, let’s dive into their upcoming release “Nightbloom”!

There are so many guitar solos on this album which seems to be a bit rare in music nowadays. It’s cool to see that they are bringing those back! Really amazing album in every aspect; it’s heavy, it’s dark, it’s soft. If you were a little skeptical with the band continuing only with one singer in the band – fear not! The band has reinvented themselves and they are sounding super tight.

Those melodic hooks are really something that will stick in your ears for a while and those heavy parts keep your neck hurt as well. Also Butcher Babies are not afraid to sound a little poppy every once in a while with their melodies. They aren’t scared to experience some new sounds and they do it so well. You can also hear they really put some time and effort to come up with such an album.

If “Broken & Beautiful” could be a classic radio hit now, “Are You Waiting Up?” shows the more vulnerable and soft side of the band, while “Songbird” has a fantastic build up to the heavier part of the track that makes it feel even heavier. The production, mixing and mastering were also done very carefully, and the overall listening experience was very pleasant.

In conclusion, you don’t want to miss “Nightbloom” by Butcher Babies. The American band has proved that they are stronger than ever with this release, and that they are not looking for mediocre results, only exceptional ones.
