(hed)p.e. share how they plan to release their new album “Relapse”

(hed)p.e. has recently taken control of their future catalog by establishing their own label, Creator One. This newfound independence has prompted them to reconsider their plans for their upcoming album, “Relapse.”

Approximately ten days prior to its scheduled release, the band decided to postpone the digital release originally set for October 2nd. Instead, the album will only be available through physical copies until summer 2027, with a digital download included with each purchase.

In a statement released on October 12th, vocalist Jared Gomes explained that the band intends to produce multiple music videos for “Relapse.” They aim to dedicate additional time to promoting these singles over the coming months.

FUCK THE CHARTS! – WE MAKE THE RULES!

RELAPSE –

MY PEOPLE GET IT FIRST!

You guys!

We’ve made a big decision regarding the release of the new record RELAPSE.

Originally announced to be released October 2nd, but after consulting with a new team, we have embraced a new school release strategy.

Rather than holding back the physical CDs to maximize our first-week Billboard chart position, we’re going to start shipping them directly to our people.

In other words, the only place to get the entire record is from buying the CD. It will NOT be digitally released on spotify, apple music, amazon music or any other platform in its entirety, until the Summer of 2027.

Those of you who pre-ordered the physical album will get to hear all TEN tracks MONTHS before the rest of the world.

Will this potentially cost us some chart positions? Absolutely.

DO WE GIVE A FUCK? NAAAAAAAA!

We are prioritizing our people over that.

You deserve to hear this record FIRST.

SO WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

We’re adopting what’s called a WATERFALL RELEASE STRATEGY.

Instead of dropping the entire album onto the internet for streaming platforms all at once, we’re going to give this record the attention it deserves.

I spent so much time on this fucking record. A piece of myself was sacrificed at the altar. The idea of just releasing it to the internet, all at once right now, sounds very painful.

I’m not going to spend all that time creating something just to have it disappear into the endless abyss of new music a week after its release.

I’m going to give each song the attention it deserves. And shoot videos for multiple tracks.

And with “Violent Girl” already approaching 600,000 views, we’re off to one hell of a start!

We’ll continue rolling out new music and videos over the coming months, leading up to the complete worldwide digital release of RELAPSE in SUMMER 2027.

Meanwhile, our most loyal fans will already have the entire record in their hands.

And I fucking LOVE that.

We’re an independent band on our own indy label; and we don’t have to play by anybody else’s fucking rules.

Thank you for your continued loyalty, love, and support.
