Renowned System of a Down vocalist Serj Tankian makes a striking appearance on the freshly unveiled track titled “Incinerator” by composer Bear McCreary (‘God of War’, ‘The Walking Dead’). Collaborating with his brother Brendan, McCreary crafted this track for his forthcoming rock concept album, “The Singularity“. Renowned drummer Gene Hoglan (Dethklok, ex-Testament) lent his talents to the percussion section for this particular track.
McCreary’s upcoming album boasts an impressive lineup of guest artists, including members of Guns N’ Roses, Slipknot, Soundgarden, Anthrax, Meshuggah, and more. Reflecting on his collaboration with Tankian, with whom he had previously worked on the ‘Godzilla: King of Monsters‘ soundtrack, McCreary shared his thoughts:
“Once I heard Serj‘s searing vocals, I knew immediately that ‘Incinerator‘ would be the first song on the album, acting like a warning that a massive, aggressive, and emotional journey lay ahead.”
Tankian himself expressed his admiration for the music, stating:
“When I got the music, when I got this song specifically, I was blown away. It’s explosive.”
Scheduled for release on May 10th, the album will be accompanied by a graphic novel expanding upon the opus, set to hit shelves on May 08th. Additionally, a show at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, is slated for May 12th, promising an electrifying live performance.
