Flat Black, a rising metal band led by former Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook, has just unveiled their latest single, “Nothing to Some”. This track features a guest appearance by Corey Taylor, renowned vocalist of Slipknot and Stone Sour. It is slated to be included on Flat Black’s forthcoming debut album, produced by Hook himself alongside Chris Collier (known for his work with Korn and Prong). Reflecting on the collaboration, Hook remarked:

“‘Nothing to Some’ showcases the fierce and uncompromising vocals of Corey Taylor. His boundless creativity brought a vocal performance that perfectly complements the essence of this track. The guitar solo stands out uniquely on the album as I unleashed it without any rhythm guitars underneath. Now that I’m part of a one-guitar band, I could let it soar freely, mirroring the raw intensity of Corey’s vocals. I vividly recall the energy of recording live takes with Rob pounding away beside me. It was truly inspiring.”

The band is gearing up to join Godsmack for a series of shows this summer, with support from Nothing More.
