Guitar hero Jimmy Page was wanted for Ozzy Osbourne’s upcoming album: “We tried to get the holy trinity”

Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne has been working on his new solo album in the pandemic. Osbourne’s new album features guests such as Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi and guitarists Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Zakk Wylde, who plays on every track on the album. Other musicians making guest appearances on the album include Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Foo Fighters‘ Taylor Hawkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ Chad Smith, according to previous reports.

Smith reveals that an attempt was made to get Led Zeppelin guitar hero Jimmy Page on the album, but failed.

“We tried to get Jimmy Page — we tried to get the holy trinity — but I don’t think Page plays anymore too much, unfortunately”, Smith told Talk Is Jericho.
